It is the beginning of autumn this Lord’s Day. We will be seeing more of God’s beauty on display soon! We were blessed with these visitors: Bob & Patsy Boynton (Whitney, TX), Clark & Cassie Coyle and Michael (Benton, LA), Jessica Chavicks (Centerton), Bill & Jean Jones (Prescott), Jarred & Hollie Linam and Taylor &Westin (Pea Ridge), Lori & Brooke Jedlicka (Rogers), Randy Gibbs (Springdale), Janell Wood (Bentonville), Richard & Diana Mehnert and Brock & Austin, and Jim & Shirl Miller (Bella Vista) and Tyler Stroud.
We have several on our sick list and those just needing special prayers. Randall just told me as I’m writing this that Twila Mason passed away this Monday morning, September 24th. Our deepest heartfelt sympathy goes to Richard and the family. Please keep Richard and their sons, their families, and Doug & Marg Kahler all in your prayers. Freddie Banks is having chemo. Bob Moser suffers with heart and lung problems. We have also been asked to pray for Charlie Parish, a friend of the Moseleys. Continue to pray for Jennifer Oxford, Frances Bontrager, Jeanie Schell, Clara Dean Welker, Don and Mary Fry, Norma and Burl Griggs, Skeet and Denise Dennis, our missionaries and our military.
“Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you” (Matt. 5:44). “Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head” (Rom. 12:20). “Let us always remember that God is stronger than our enemies and can care for us despite them.”
John Archer will be leaving November 2nd for a 18-day mission trip to Mexico, Columbia and Honduras. Josh Mahaffey will be going to Columbia and Honduras. If you are willing to help Josh with expenses, give your money to him or one of the Elders.
A big thank you, to all those helping with our meals on Wednesday night before Bible classes. All of your hard work is greatly appreciated. Also a big thank you to Larry and Cheryl Royer for trimming our trees and cleaning up around the building.
We are having a Work Day here at the building on Monday, October 1st, beginning at 9 a.m. Harold Culwell is in great need of help with the tract folding on Thursday mornings at 10:00 so please give him a call if you can do this great work for the Lord. If you would like to help fund the World Bible Study program for reaching high school students, please give your money to Mitchell Whittington or Harold Adridge.
