The love of God has been poured out in our hearts. Romans 5:5 We just keep having beautiful weekends!! What a joy it will be, when the leaves turn, to their full glory! We are always blessed with our visitors: Laci Bowlin & Joshua Ehret (Wichita, KS), Marland & Shirley Mason (Altus, OK), Brenda Taylor (Tulsa, OK), Taylor Church (Pea Ridge), Velvet Dunman (Springdale), Jeff & Kimberly Heath and Dylan (Bentonville), Lori & Brooke Jedlicka (Rogers), Janell Wood (Bentonville), LeAnn Hanner (Bella Vista), Marsha DeVault, Ryan & Kelly Russell, Tyler Stroud, and Randy Gibbs.
We have several on our sick list and those needing special prayers. Freddie Banks is in the hospital at St. Mary’s in Rogers. The Sinquefields have asked for our prayers; Patty is waiting on her biopsy results and Don will be having surgery soon. Marie Flanary’s father, Jim Bynum, is hospitalized in Ft. Smith but doing better. Jennifer Oxford received a good report from Mayo Clinic, but she and Jeff need our prayers as she continues to improve. Please pray for the Jay Mabry Family and their son (friends of the Klingman family). Burl & Norma are in need of our prayers, as they are going through a difficult time. Keep John Archer and Josh Mahaffey in your prayers as they prepare to leave on their mission trip; John leaves November 2nd and Josh leaves November 9th; they will be back November 19th. Randall asks a place in your prayers as he goes to Carthage, Missouri for a Gospel Meeting this weekend. Continue to remember in your prayers Don Fry, Bob Moser, Olga Smith’s grandson Zachary, Clara Dean Welker, our missionaries and our military.
Thanks Randall for your great lessons! “We comprehend Him not, yet earth and heaven tell God sits as sovereign on the throne and ruleth all things well.” (Gerhardt) “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8.28) “It is in loving—not in being loved—the heart is blessed; It is in giving—not in seeking gifts—we find our quest.” (Anonymous)
It is a beautiful joy to see our Brethren come together in Agape Love when there is a need!! It makes me happy to be a part of this congregation. I love you all!! Thanks for being the loving Christians you are. The Lord will bless you.
Thanks to Charlotte Akridge, Robin Kinder and Amy Bowman for giving the lovely baby shower for Elisha Alas. She got lots of nice things for her new baby girl that will be here soon.
The Teens will be having a 5th Quarter Party, hosted by the Bentonville Church of Christ on October 26th. Harold Culwell is ordering pecans again this year; there is a sign-up sheet in the foyer.
The annual Area-Wide-Worship at Springdale High School will be Sunday evening. Walter Buchanan will be our speaker. Singing begins at 5:30 P.M., with the regular service at 6:00. There will be no evening service here Sunday. Those who want to ride the van for this special service, need to contact John Archer. The van will leave at 4:45 P.M.
We have a new family in our fellowship. They are Jarred & Hollie Linam and their children Taylor and Westin. Kevin and Chere Griffin will be moving to the Tulsa area this week. We will miss them, but wish them well and hope they will come see us often!
Those items needed for Fair Haven Children’s Home are toilet tissue, aluminum foil, paper towels, zip lock bags and tea bags.
True worship of Christ changes admiration into adoration. Love you, see you next Lord’s Day.
